Help insure all of Oregon’s children and grandchildren

Help insure all of Oregon's children and grandchildren

Big tobacco companies from out of state are pouring in their millions to keep Oregonians from insuring their children and grandchildren. We know better, and our kids deserve better. With the support of voters throughout the state, we can pass Measure 50 in November and show big tobacco where our priorities lie – with our childrens’ health.

Support Healthy Kids, support Oregon’s kids!

Support Healthy Kids, support Oregon's kids!

Over 100,000 Oregon kids don’t have health insurance or regular access to health care. That is not only wrong, but it’s expensive to tax payers who foot the bill when these uninsured kids get illnesses that could have been prevented. Measure 50, the Healthy Kids Initiative, will change that by providing health insurance to these children. Support Measure 50 and Oregon’s kids this November!

We need to invest in our kids, and their future

We need to invest in our kids, and their future

Our children need health care, but over 100,000 are going without it. Measure 50, the Healthy Kids Initiative, will bring health care to these children’s lives, and peace of mind to their parents’. The problem is that big out-of-state tobacco companies are working hard to protect their profits – and to keep Oregon’s children uninsured. Vote Yes on Measure 50 to protect our children, not big tobacco!

Oregon’s kids need our support with Measure 50

Oregon's kids need our support with Measure 50

The Healthy Kids Initiative funds vital health care coverage for Oregon’s children by raising the tobacco tax into a dedicated fund for children’s health care. Just think, with one vote you could protect over 100,000 children and their families from a life without insurance.

Smoking is everyone’s problem – let’s solve it

Smoking is everyone's problem – let's solve it

My paternal grandfather died of lung cancer when my father was 6 years old. My maternal grandmother smoked all her life and ended up on oxygen at the end of her life. I want to discourage smoking in our society.

Oregon’s kids can’t wait any longer

Oregon's kids can't wait any longer

My husband is self-employed and I don’t get insurance through my part-time job. We can only afford catastrophic insurance for our family, with an insanely high deductible. We can’t do preventive or routine health, dental, or vision care because we can’t afford any more out-of-pocket health care costs. When my baby recently swallowed a poison and had to go to the E.R., we had to put the entire expense on our credit card to pay off over time because our deductible is so high. It shouldn’t be this way. Please pass Measure 50!

Oregonians need to keep our kids smiling and healthy!

Oregonians need to keep our kids smiling and healthy!

Every child in Oregon without access to health care is a child likely to grow up unhealthy, or not do well in school. Molly and Matthew are twins who were born early at 30 weeks, weighing just over 3 pounds each. They spent 6 weeks in Legacy Emanuel NICU, to whom we will be forever grateful. The Healthy Kids Initiative will start every child off on the right foot when it comes to health care. Please vote Yes on Measure 50.

We need to stand up for Oregon’s kids

We need to stand up for Oregon's kids

There are over 100,000 Oregon children who do not have regular access to a doctor. That means that their families are thrown into financial crisis if they break an arm running on the playground. We need to protect our kids.

Our children need our vote – Yes on 50!

Our children need our vote – Yes on 50!

Oregon’s uninsured kids don’t get the health care they need when they need it. That means they struggle to see the chalkboard at school because they can’t get eyeglasses. The Healthy Kids Plan is fair and responsible, and it’s time for Oregon’s kids to get the health care coverage they need.
